I have always loved the clarity of glass and the effect of light passing through it. This is what has inspired me to create fused glass which I then slump into plates, bowls and plaques.

I started working with glass to complement my hectic career and found it fascinating and stimulating. My appreciation of the versatility of glass as a medium has developed as I have experimented with different processes.
I enjoy working with warm glass which involves designing and cutting the glass, then melting, reforming and reshaping it in the kiln, often involving several firings at temperatures approaching 800 °C; .As well as the beautiful colours of glass the work can be enhance through the use of inclusions of copper and aluminium that can be placed between the layers of glass.
My style varies widely, from structural geometric patterns that exploit the strikingly vibrant colours of glass; to more organic pieces reflecting the shapes and patterns found in nature. The Monmouthshire countryside is a great source of inspiration for my natural works from the patchwork of interlocking fields, the bark of an ancient tree or the dappled patterns of shadows.
